Wali Khan wants power transferred to elected leaders
NEW DELHI, JAN. 5—Two prominent political leaders in Pakistan have demanded immediate transfer of power to the elected representative of the people, reports UNI.
According to Radio Pakistan, leader of the National Awami Party, Khan Abdul Wali Khan, told party workers in Navshera yesterday that past event, had proved that the military rule would be no remedy to the country’s problems.
The Chief of the Jamit-e-Islami has also demanded the convening of the National Assembly.
