- Freedom fighters from Sector -2 attack Pakistani Rangers’ camp at Raipur and Rajakaras’ LM High School camp. 9 Pakistan soldiers injured. Besides, a freedom fighter also sustains injuries in this mission.
- A violent gunfight takes place when freedom fighters led by student leader Hasem Mahmud and Subedar Major Ziaul Haque attack Bandarkata BOP camp of Pakistan raiders. 30 Pakistan troops are kill and 35 injured. Meanwhile, five freedom fighters embrace martyrdom and nine are wounded.
- Senator Edward Kennedy, chairman of refugee affairs sub-committee of US Senate, tells that the refugee problem is created due to arms supply to Pakistan.
- More than 450 members of Indian Lokhsova, signing in a memorandum to UN secretary general U’Thant, urges for help to stop the trial of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Pakistan jail and demands his unconditional release.
