- Freedom fighters led by Lt Harun kill 50 Pakistan troops attacking their Kalamchhari camp. The native fighters also destroy 10 bankers and detain two raiders and recover huge arms and ammunitions.
- Freedom fighter Ansar Ali embraces martyrdom and some others sustain injuries when they attack the Burungamari camp of Pakistani army. A violent gunfight takes place there.
- Freedom fighters kill 25 Pakistan raiders ambushing Harishwardar haat in Comilla. A violent clash takes place there when the Pakistani army retaliates with gunfire.
- Pakistan President Yahya Khan tells Kaihan Internatioal, a Tehran-based daily, that he will not handover power to any person or party before forming a civil government with the representatives from across the country.
- Tony Klinton tells News Week that “There is only one person who can protect Pakistan in the universe. He is Mujib. Yahya Khan said Mujib must be hanged. But Pakistan will die with the hanging of Mujib.”
