- A team of Muktijoddha led by Chand Mia, commander of Afsar Battalion under Sector no-11, ambush Pakistani camp in Paruldia Bazar and kill three associates of the Pakistan raiders.
- Freedom fighters attack the Mukundapur-Harispur camp of Pakistani soldiers in Comilla under the leadership of Lt Helal Murshed causing huge damage to the raiders.
- Three Muktijoddha teams led by EPR Abul Hay, Jagatjjoti Das and Mujahid Mia attack Pakistan soldiers’ Sachana and Jamalganj camps. Freedom fighter Siraj dies during the fighting in Sachana.
- Indian foreign minister Sharan Sing says in New Delhi that they have no wish to table the problems of Bangladesh in UN security parishad.
- East Pakistan military ruler and Governor Tikka Khan calls for forming Mujahid Bahini to fight the Muktibahini.
- East Pakistan provincial Jamaat ameer Ghulam Azam thanks Tikka Khan for omitting some topics from text books which will help make the citizens pure Pakistanis.
- “Dhakurgaon, Panchagar, Boda, Tetulia and Debiganj of Dinajpur district now under the capture the Muktibahini. Bangladesh’s flag are flying at different government and private establishments,” reports daily Juganttar.
