- Muktibahini kill four Pakistan soldiers and injure many others in an attack near Monora Bridge in Comilla.
- Captain Ayenuddin and his associate fighters ambush Pakistan military on a road between Naogaon and Aksina and kill seven soldiers and wound four others. A freedom fighter sustains critical injuries. While returning to their camp, the freedom fighters ambush another Pakistani team heading towards Kosba from Syedabad and killed 21 Pakistan soldiers, one of their brokers and injured 9 others Pakistan soldiers.
- Muktibahini detain seven Pakistani collaborators at Narsingh of Comilla and seize 2 rifles, four grenade, a wireless set and 120 rounds of bullets.
- Muktibahini kill 19 Rajakars and wound seven of them during two-hour-long gunfight at Tanar Kalidaspara of Ghatail.
- Subedar Waliullah manages to escape when Pakistan raiders confine him at Noakhali.
- UN Secretary General U’Thant holds separate meeting with India and Pakistan ambassadors over tension at the borders of the countries.
- Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani calls upon the left-leaning parties to join the Liberation War actively. “Left, right or whatever we are – our only aim should be freedom of our motherland.”
