Mujib demands adequate broadcast of Tagore songs
(By Our Staff Reporter)

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman addressing a massive public meeting at the Race Course on Sunday demanded adequate broadcast of Tagore songs from Radio Pakistan.
Sheikh Mujib said that he was pained to know on his release that the Tagore song was being discarded on the plea of its being of alien culture.
The Awami League chief said that Rabindranath was not only a poet of Bengal-he belonged to the whole world.
He said if we could read Shakespeare, Hatig Marx, Lenin, Mao Tse-tung, why should we discard Rabindranath. People read these authors Sheikh Mujib said for learning.
