Indonesia recognizes Bangla Desh
MALAYSIA ALSO RECOGNIZES
Kuala Lumpur, Feb. 25 (AP)
Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Friday announced Malaysia’s recognition of Bangla Desh and the government of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Razak said he has sent a message to Bangla Desh Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman saying Malaysia “looks forward for a close and friendly cooperation between the two countries”.
Top Foreign Ministry officials said Malaysia Plans to establish a missiion in Dacca soon. Malaysia, he said is willing to give what aid it can to help Bangla Desh.
The state of the aid should be worked out, the officials added.
The officials said Malaysia will help support Bangla Desh entry into the International Islamic Conference- an organizaton of Moslem nations, aimed at looking after Moslem affairs in the world,- if Bangla Desh makes an application to join the Jeddah cenference next month.
The officials said, Malaysia will also support Bangla Desh entry into the nonaligned nations conference as it had all the qualifications for such membership.
