INDIAN ARMS FOR THE REBELS?
NEW DELHI, Sun.- Informed diplomatic sources in Delhi today said it would not be surprising if arms and ammunition began to flow across the Indian border to East Pakistan’s resistance groups.
The sources stressed that this did not mean they expected either official or unofficial sanction by the Indian Government for arms traffic across the frontier. Rather, they said, given the circumstances it would be almost impossible to prevent.
They pointed out the history of the Bengali populations on each side of the border and said Bengalis on the Indian side would certainly help if given the chance.- UPI.
