Witnesses examined in Mujib’s case
DACCA, Sept 12: Two prosecution witnesses were on Saturdy examined by the magistrate’s court, trying Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on a charge of making prejudicial” speech at a public meeting here in March last.
After their depositions at the resumed hearing of the case here, the witnesses were cross-examined by Mr Zahiruddin and Mr Abdus Salam Khan, the lawyers appearing for the accused.
The hearing was adjourned till Oct 1 next.
Saturday was the second day of the hearing which opened early last month in the court and is being held inside the Dacca Central Jail, where Sheikh Mujib is under detention.
The court comprised Mr. Afsaruddin, magistrate first class.
The prosecution was conducted by Mr S. Bakht, Assistant Public Prosecutor. -APP.
