Mujib Appears Before Court In Sylhet
SYLHET, May 6 (PPA): Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, president of the East Pakistan Awami League today appeared before the court of SDO sylhet in conncetion with the cases started against him under sections 153 A PPC, 7(3) of the public safety Ordinance and 47(5) of the Defence of Pakistan Rules.
The case has been transferred to the court of Khwaja Abdul Halim, Magistrate First Class, who has fixed June 13 and 14 for production of evidence.
Sheikh Mujib has been on bail granted by the Session Judge of Sylhet previously.
Earlier in the morning Sheikh Mujib accompanied among others, by Mr. Tajuddin Ahmed, General Secretary of the EPAL and Mr. Misaur Rahman Chowdhury, MNA, reached Sylhet by train from Dacca.
