MNAs AND MPAs SLATE MUJIB’S SIX-POINT PLAN
MONTGOMERY, April 25: Four local MNA’s and MPA’s have criticised and condemned the six- point plan of Mr. Mujibur Rahman.
In a joint statement issued here yesterday they said since the plan is against the integrity and solidarity of Pakistan, patriotic citizen of the country can tolerate it.
The MNA’s further said that during the recent session of the National Assembly in Dacca they had personally met various political and social leaders, besides the common man and found that everybody not only bitterly criticised, Mr. Mujibur Rahman’s six-point plan, but also said that it had no backing at all. The people there did not support this programme, they said.
All the four signatories hailed the new constitution given to the Pakistan Muslim League by President Mohammad Ayub Khan and said it would serve to put the organisation on a more solid footing.
The signatories are: Diwan Ghulam Qutbuddin, MNA, Mian Abdul Haque, MNA, Mian Ghulam Ahmad Maneka, MPA, and Pir Ali Gauhar Chisti MPA. —PPA
