Mujib again arrested in Sylhet
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, President, East Pakistan Awami League, was re-arrested in Sylhet on Saturday after he was granted bail by the Sessions Judge. Sylhet in a case instituted against him there, says a Press release of the East Pakistan Awami League.
A fresh charge was framed against him and a bail petition was moved before the SDO which was not granted. It is learnt that a petition for bail was them moved before the Sessions Judge. but Sheikh Mujib was hurriedly taken away from Sylhet Under police custody before the disposal of the petition.
It is presumed that he has been taken to Mymensingh, from where the second case emanated. It is learnt from knowledgeable sources that the train left Sylhet for Mymensingh with Sheikh Mujib 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time.
It may be mentioned here that the public meeting called by the East Pakistan Awami League a Paltan Maidan will be held as scheduled on Sunday.

Mujib in Police custody SYLHET, April 23: Shaikh Mujibur Rahman, the Awami League Leader, who was taken here under arrest yesterday from Dacca was granted ad-interim bail by District and Sessions Judge, Sylhet today.
But the Shaikh remained in detention on an warrant from Mymensingh.
Another bail petition moved before S.D.O. Sadar, today was rejected.
Shaikh Mujibur Rahman was brought here yesterday under arrest on a case instituted, against him by local Police under Defence of Pakistan Rules and East Pakistan Public Safety Ordinance. –PPA.
