AROUND THE
Mujib bailed out

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the President of East Pakistan Awami League was granted bail on Thursday by Mr. S. J. H. Sikahder the District and Sessions Judge Dacca.
Earlier the bail petition of Sheikh Mujib was rejected by the Subdivisional officer, Dacca South to whom the Awami League leader surrendered as directed. The Sub-divisional Officer had directed that Sheikh Mujib be taken into custody till the 25th April ’66. A case was started against Sheikh Mujib by the Ramna Police under Section 47 of Defence of Pakistan Rules referring to his last Paltan Maidan speech as prejudicial to the Security of Pakistan. He was arrested at Jessore on April 18 and was produced in the court of the Sub-divisional Officer, Jessore Sadar and bailed out.
