Mujib’s Programme Criticised
NARAYANGANJ, March 27: The so-called “6-point programme” advanced by the Awami League was strongly criticised by the Muslim League leaders at a conference of Narayanganj City Muslim League workers held here. Mr. Abdul Aziz, the acting President of the Narayanganj City League, was in the chair.
Addressing, the conference Mr. Naziruddin Ahmed, a local League leader, called upon the workers to reorganise the organisation so that it could regain its past glory. He also cautioned them of grave consequences of the so-called “6-point progrqamme” advanced by Shiekh Mujibur Rahman and appealed not to be misted by those “disgruntled politicians”. Messrs Shamsul karim Chowdhury, A. Jalil, Jainul Abedin, Nurul Haq, Mir Abdul Wahed T.K. and Amir Ali also addressed the conference.
The conference expressed its firm confidence in President Field Marshal Ayub Khan and Governor Monem Khan and resolved to reorganise the organisation under the leadership of the present league High Command. The conference by another resolution divided the Narayanganj Municipal area into 12 parts and appointed 12 prominent workers to facilitate the work of reorganisation of the city League.
