DACCA DIST. ML CONDEMNS MUJIB’S 6 POINTS
The six-point programme of the Awami Legaue leader was condemned at a meeting of the presidents and secretaries of subdivisional and than a Muslim League and the members of the Working Committee of the Dacca District Muslim League, held here on Wednesday, reports APP.
The meeting held that the programme was directed against the very integrity of the country.
The meeting in another resolution lent its support for a strong central government in Pakistan.
The meeting also passed a resolution supporting the Tashkent agreement and appealed to the people to give it a fair chance of success because it has opened the door for solution of the Kashmir issue and lasting peace between Pakistan and India which is in the interest of both the countries.
The Chairman of the East Pakistan Muslim League Ad Hoc Committee, Fakir Abdul Mannan, addressing the meeting advised his party men to enroll new members with a view to reorganising the organisation. He also explained the Constitution of the East Pakistan Muslim League which will be placed before the Pakistan Muslim League Council when it meets on March 19.
Nawabzada Khwaja Ahsanullah, President Dacca District Muslim League, presided over the meeting.
