Sk. Mujib wants peace with all nations
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, General-Secretary of the Pakistan Awami League who is heading a five-member political leaders team of the province to the Lahore conference on Friday said they believed in peace and wanted to live in peace and honour with all nations particularly “our closest neighbour India” reports APP. On the eve of his departure for Lahore in a statement Sheikh Mujib said:
“We are going to participate in the forthcoming national conference in Lahore on the 5th and 6th instant.
“The entire situation obtaining in the country should be dispassionately assessed and a balance-sheet drawn up on the net outcome of the bloody confrontation, and a fresh start needs be made with clear vision, clean mind and firm steps.”
