SAVE THE BENGALI REFUGEES
To The Editor,
We are very much thankful to your esteemed paper for showing sympathetic attitude toward the victims and destitutes of East Bengal. You and your readers are well aware that the International Committee of the Red Cross Societies was refused permission by the Pakistan Government to enter East Bengal to render humanitarian service to the victims. In the meantime, the number of East Bengali refugees who have taken shelter in neighboring India has already reached 700,000 and thousands more are being added daily.
Through your column, we take this opportunity to appeal to your readers in general, and those having from Bangla Desh in particular, to send a token donation eqivalent to one U.S. dollar per month to the following address, for help to the refugees :
Bangla Desh Refugee Relief Fund. C/O. Mr. Hossain Ali, Bangla Desh Diplomatic Mission, Calcutta, India. Yours sincerely, for Bangla Solidarity League (Name and designation not printed upon request) Address : C/O. Kaihoso, 2434-447, Hanazono-cho, Chlibs City, Japan.
