Bangladesh Mission Opened in Britain
In his inaugural speech yesterday Mr. Chowdhury said that West Pakistan had dominated his country for 23 long years. Now the army of Yahya Khan had resorted to loot rape and arson and was still perpetrating genocide.
He said the secret trial of Sheikh Mujibur was an atrocious act and any harm to him would be a threat to world peace. He appealed to the Governments and peoples of the world for recognition.
Mr. Chowdhury, a member of the Human Rights commision of the United Nations, is now special overseas representative of the People’s Republic of BanglaDesh and High Commissioner for BanglaDesh in the United Kingdom.
