81 Pak soldiers killed in sporadic attacks
MUJIBNAGAR, SEPT. 6 – The Bangladesh guerillas killed 37 Pakistani soldiers and Razakars in sporadic attacks on the Army camps at Tanihara, Charnai, Ajanapur and Chandpur in Sylhet district and at Nayanpur, Chamnia and Mandabag areas in Comilla district last week-end according to reports received at the Mukti Bahini headquarters here, reports P.T.I.
The reports said the freedom fighters also injured over 35 enemy troops. They took nine Pakistani soldiers into custody and captured some arms and ammunition.
According to reports received from the Rajshahi sector, the freedom fighters silenced the Rajshahi radio center for two consecutive days last week by destroying three electric pylona between Eheramara and Rajshahi.
With Mukti Bahini guerillas and commandos intensifying their attacks on Pakistani positions the Pakistan Air Force has resumed “support” operations over Bangladesh.
