49 Indians killed by Pak troops on border
NEW DELHI, JUNE 23- Forty-nine India nationals were killed between March 25 and May 30 last by the Pakistanis on Indo-Pakistan on Indo-Pak border, the Minister of State for Home, Mr. K. C. Pant, informed Mr. Prabodh Chandra in a written reply, says UNI. Mr. Pant said no military personnel was among the killed.
The Border Security Force was in strength all along the border and “is ready to meet any situation” Mr. Pant said. The Army also has been alerted to be ready to throw out any intruding Pakistani troops from the Indian soil, he added.
Mr. Pant said India had lodged protests with the Pakistan Government in all the cases.
