UNICEF grants to East Pakistan children
PARIS, DEC. 23- The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said today it had sent 500,000 blankets and thousands of tons of protein rich food to “East Pakistan” children, reports AFP.
UNICEF has decided to give priority to medical supplies, hospital equipment, children’s food and trucks, after receiving reports from its Dacca offices of the area’s urgent needs.
The need for aid is expected to increase further in coming weeks according to the latest information received here UNICEF added.
