Bangladesh House in Kathmandu
Ex-Diplomat Allowed To Function Quietly From Our Correspondent, KATHMANDU, Oct. 31- The former Pakistani first secretary here, who defected to the Bangladesh Government earlier this month is believed to have been allowed by the Nepalese Government to function “quietly” here as a representative of Bangladesh.
The top-ranking Bengali diplomat, Mr. Mustafizur Rahman (29) is reliably understood, however, to have been served with “guidelines” and told by the Foreign Office that his activities should not harm Nepal’s relations with Islamabad.
While he has not been allowed to fly the Bangladesh flag, his new official residence here displays a huge signboard reading, “Bangladesh House.”
