Bhutto confers with Yahya

NEW DELHI MAY 20—The Pakistan People’s Party Charmin. Mr. Bhutto, conferred with President Yahya Khan at Karachi Today, Radio Pakistan reported, says UNI.
The radio gave no details of the talks.
Observes noted that the talks between Mr. Bhutto and Gen. Yahya Khan significantly took place in Karachi at a time when the People’s Party’s Central Committee was meeting to review the country’s political and economic situation.
Mr. Bhutto had recently said that while his party did not want immediate transfer of power to civilians, there should be no inordinate delay in effecting the transfer.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bhutto has called for a bold and genuine plan of action for a stable economy and a prosperous future for the people of East Pakistan.”
Talking to news men after the meeting of his party’s Central Committee yesterday, he said the crisis in East Pakistan could be overcome of “genuine measures” were taken to remove the grievances of the people, especially on the economic front.
The committee discussed the political and economic situation facing the country with“ all its implication, both internal and external,” he said
