Nasrullah ends talks with DAC leaders: May meet Mujib and Muzaffar today

DACCA. Feb 6: Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, Convenor of the Democratic Action Committee, who has concluded his round of talks with the East Pakistan D.A.C. leaders, will try to meet tomorrow Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prof Muzaffar Ahmad, now under detention.
Nawabzada Nasrullah, who arrived here last evening from Lahor for talks with the East Pakistan D.A.C. and other Opposition leaders, on the President’s move for a round table conference on constitutional issues, told newsmen that he had completed his talks with the leaders of the eight components of DAC.
He said that his consultation with the leaders centred on President Ayub Khan’s letter requesting him to nominate the list of participants to the proposed conference.
Tomorrow, he said, he would seek an interview with Awame League chief Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Principal accused in the Agartala Conspiracy Case now under military custody in the Cantonment and Prof Muzaffar Ahmad, President of NAP (Requisitionists), East Pakistan, now under detention in the Dacca Central jail.
The D.A.C. convener also told Pressmen that he might meet the President after the meeting of the national executive of the D.A.C. due to meet here on Feb 15 and 16. He, however, hinted at the Possibility of advancing the date of the meeting of the D.A.C Executive.

EMERGENCY MEETING
Meanwhile, the East Pakistan Awami League Working Committee is holding its emergency meeting here on Feb 9 to discuss the present political situation and decide about the stand of the party in the light of the present development of the political situation.
Announcing this, Mr. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Acting General Secretary of the Party, requested all the members of the party and its MNAS and MPAs to attend the meeting.
In a press release issued this evening by the East Pakistan Awami League all the units have been requested to observe “Six-Point”.
