Ray at Shillong, talks on border situation
SHILLONG, OCT, 29-Mr. Siddhartha Shankar Ray, Union Minister for Education and social Welfare, had discussions here today on the border situation and the influx of evacuees from Bangladesh, with the Governor of Assam and Meghalaya. Mr. B. K. Nehru, and the Chief Minister of these two States, Mr. Mohendra Mohan Choudhury and Capt. Williamson Sangma, reports PTI.
Mr. Ray arrived here last night and is leaving for Agartala tomorrow to study the situation in Tripura in the context of the recent shelling of Agartala Airport and other areas in the Union territory.
