No unsolicited Indian help for Bangladesh
From Our Special Correspondent, NEW DELHI, DEC. 21.—The Bangladesh Government has not made any request to the government of India for civilian Indian Officials to help them.
It is felt here that the Bangladesh Government may not require any officials from India to help them reorganise the administration. They have a number of experienced officials of their own for this purpose.
However, the Bangladesh Government may require some expertise in various fields at the top level. The Government of India’s stand is that such expertise will be made available to the Bangladesh Government only when they would make a request for that.
Meanwhile, some civilian officials have been sent by the Government to help the Indian troops now in Bangladesh.
