Indo-Bangla Cultural Institute in the making
At the initiative of the Bharatiya Sanskriti Bhawan, an IndoBangladesh educational, literary and cultural institution, is being formed with a view to promoting socio-economic and cultural relations between India and Bangladesh. Further it will strengthen the cultural and friendly ties between them. According to its plans, programmes and projects, the institute will take initiatives for the arrangement of the regular assemblies of the intelligentsia of both countries at different periods in the capitals of the respective countries, Calcutta and other historic places of the two countries will also serve as rendezvous for these intelligentsia. A preparatory meeting is going to be held on the 2nd week of January, 1972 to discuss the pros and cons of the Institutes modus operandi.

The Chief Convener of this noble initiative is Mr. Benoy Sircar. J. P. the eminent intellectual of West Bengal.
