Pindi bans publication of British MPs’ interviews
From Our Special Correspondent NEW DELHI, JULY 5.— The Pakistan Government has imposed a total ban on publication or broadcast of the interviews given by members of the four-man British parliamentary delegation, who recently visited India and Pakistan to make an on-the-spot study of the situation.
Screening of the delegation activity has also been prohibited in Pakistan.
Apparently, the objective assessment of the situation in Bangladesh by the delegation and some of the statements of the delegation members exposing the Pak Army brutality have considerably annoyed the military rulers of Pakistan. They cannot permit the British MPs’ statement and comments about the real state of affairs in Bangladesh to be made known to the Pakistani people who are being fed with all sorts of lies by the military junta.
The British delegation included members of both Conservative and Labour parties.
Sponsored by the UK Government it was led by Mr. Arthur Bottomley former Commonwealth relations Minister.
