Trial Of Nixon And Yahya Urged

By A Staff Reporter, The West Bengal United Nations Association resolved in Calcutta on Sunday that the terms of the “Convention of Genocide” should be invoked and “President Nixon and President Yahya Khan tried before the International Court of Justice”. Both the USA and Pakistan are signatories to the convention.
The association also felt that the problem created by the Bangladesh evacuees should be considered a world problem and treated accordingly. The association decided to invite member organizations in this country and abroad to carry on such activities as signature campaigns seeking recognition of the Bangladesh Government and providing information about the continued genocide in that country.
The meeting of the association was a prelude to the proposed International conference on Bangladesh, to be held in Delhi on August 14, and which is expected to be attended by 150 foreign delegates.
