Over Rs. 1000 donated to Bangladesh Relief Fund
The employees of Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a meeting held on April 23 last at Royal Exchange Hall under the presidency of Mr. Benoy Roy Chowdhury have donate Rs. 1,075 to the National Relief Fund for Bangladesh Freedom struggle sponsored by the Indian Medical Association. Dr. Muraj Mukherjee on behalf of the I. M. A. and its Relief Organisation accepted the donation.
Dr. Mukherjee in his brief speech described the experiences of the freedom struggle in Bangladesh and the role played by the medical practitioners in the state in this relief organisation.
