IFWJ’s concern at detention of 2 newsmen
NEW DELHI, Sept. 6.–The Working Committee of the Indian Federation of Working Journalists has expressed “deep concern” at the continued detention of the two Indian journalists. Mr. Deepak

In a resolution, adopted at its two-day meeting here and released to the Press today, the Working Committee condmned the barbarous act of the Pakistani military junta in dragging away Mr. Banerjee and Mr. Ghoshal from Indian soil at Sonamura in Tripura on April 2 while talking to Bangladesh evacuees and said this was in flagrant violation of International Law.
It urged the Government of India to take all steps necessary to secure the immediate release of the two journalists.
