Mujib on 11 MPAs’ withdrawal
from Coalition Party
DACCA, March 22: The East Pakistan Awami League General Secretary, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in a statement last night said: “out of the 11 members of the East Pakistan Assembly who issued a statement on Friday night that they withdrew support from the Awami Coalition Government, five members never joined the Awami League Coalition Government.”
“Every member of the Assembly, even the Speaker knows that these people, Messrs Zahirul Huq, Almas Ali, Abdur Rahman, A. Wahed and Abul Hossain always take their seat with members of the Opposition.”
“These gentlemen crossed the floor many times. I can give them this assurance that they cannot affect the Awami League Coalition Government in East Pakistan so long as this Government follow the democratic policy and work with sincerity and honesty for the people and support joint electorate.”-APP.
