AZIZUL HAQ NOT LEADING MAJORITY
Mujib’s Statement
Kushtia, Sept. 17:- The General Secretary of East Pakistan Awami League, today refuted the claim of the KSP lead by Syed Azizul Haq, that it was the single largest majority party in the provincial assembly. In a statement issued here he said, “I am surprised to see in newspapers a resolution passed by the KSP group, lead by Syad Azizul Haq, claiming that it is the single largest majority party in the East Pakistan Assembly. I do not like to criticize the KSP or its resolution because the people know that the awami league has strength of one hundred and two members. Besides, the awami league is being supported by the congress, the UPP and the scheduled castes federation members.
“It is therefore, surprising that Syed Azizul Haq has claimed his group to be the single largest majority party. I challenge him to produce him to produce the list of his group members with their signatures to the Speaker of the assembly and if required we will put forward our own list.
