Case Against Mujibar
3 More Granted Bail
Mr. A. B, M. Fazle Rabbi, Magistrate, first class, Dacca, granted bail for rupees 5,000 each with one surety to Feroz, Serajuddin and Abdul Haque while produced before the court here today. They were arrested by the police on alleged complicity of rioting in front of the Dacca Central jail in May last. Sheikh Mujibar Rahman ex-Minister of the Fazlul Huq Cabinet, who was also arrested in this connection was granted bail earlier, by the District Sessions, Judge, Dacca, but he continues to be detained under the Public Safety Ordinance. Three more police witnesses who were deputed to execute the warrant of arrest against three persons informed the court that the accused were absconding. The three persons who were granted bail today will, however, continue to remain in ‘hajat’ till their personal sureties are tested by the police. The next date for hearing was fixed on January 11 next year. Mr. Mazhar Hossain, Public Prosecutor appeared for the Crown. Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan, Mr. Azizel Huq, ex-Ministers appeared for the defense. =APP
