CASE FILED AGAINST SHEIKH MUJIBUR

Police submitted charge-sheet on Tuesday against Sheikh Mujibar Rahman, General Secretary, East Pakistan Awami League and a former cabinet-colleague of the ex-Chief Minister of East Bengal Mr. A. K. Fazlul Huq and 10 others for their alleged complicity in the Central Jail disturbances. It may be recalled here that Sheikh Mujibar Rahman was arrested the very day on which the United Front Ministry was deposed and Governor’s Rule was promulgated in the province. He is now under detention in the Dacca Central Jail. Sheikh Mujib, now, would stand trial in the court of Mr. A. Rahman, magistrate, First Class-where the case has been instituted against him and 10 others Under sections 147, 148, 149, 326 and 395 P.P.C. added to Section 7/3 Safety Ordinance.
