7th Fleet came at China’s behest : Pravda

MOSCOW, Dec. 22.–China sought American armed intervention in the recent Indo-Pakistani conflict, according to the Pravda commentator, Mr. Viktor Mayevsky, here today, says PTI.
He wrote that China’s position was one of the factors that brought ships of the US Seventh Fleet into the Indian Ocean.
The latest in a series of attacks on china’s performance in the UN the Pravda commentary said events of the recent weeks showed the true face of the Chinese Leaders.
This was of ‘traitors to the national liberation movement who are objectively helping imperialism in the struggle against the peoples upholding freedom, progress and peace on earth”, the paper said.
Ridiculing China’s attempt to pose as the champion of “State sovereignty and territorial integrity” presumably in dealing with Bangladesh, the paper brought up the contrary position China had taken on Biafra.
“The secessionists got the moral and material support of Peking that showed little concern for Nigeria’s sovereign and territorial integrity” Pravda said.
Returning to Bangladesh it said “the coincidence position in the struggle against the peoples of Areb countries, against the people of IndoChina, Africa and Latin America.”
An article by Prof Ukraintsev in another centra Moscow newspaper, “Sovet Skaya Rossia” and objectivel Chinese performance at the UN was aimed at taking the world body back to the time of the cold war.
