শহিদ এস আই শিরু মিয়া
১৯৭১ সালে সাব ইন্সপেক্টর শিরু মিয়া, স্ত্রী আনোয়ারা এবং ছেলে কামাল গোপনে মুক্তিযুদ্ধকে সমর্থন করে আসছিলেন এবং অসহযোগ আন্দোলনের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত ছিলেন। ২৭ মার্চ তিনি সপরিবারে কুমিল্লা চলে যান এবং ছেলে কামাল সহ সক্রিয়ভাবে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করতে থাকেন। ১৯৭১ সালের ২৭ অক্টোবর তিনি ছেলে কামাল সহ পাকিস্তানিদের হাতে আটক হন। ২১ নভেম্বর শিরু মিয়া এবং তাঁর ছেলেকে পাকবাহিনী ও রাজাকাররা তিতাস নদীর পাড়ে ব্রাশফায়ার করে হত্যা করে।

Martyre SI Shiru Mia
In 1971, from the very beginning of the non-cooperation movement Sub inspector Shiku Mia, his wife Anwara Begum and son Kamal supported the movement. On March 27, he went to Comilla with his family. He took part in the liberation war along with his son. On October 27, he and his son Kamal were captured by Pakistan Army. On 21st November, Shiku Mia and his son Kamal were killed by the Army and their collaborators through brush fire beside the bank of Titas river.
